Please join Generation Obama and Los Angeles City Council President Eric Garcetti for "Arts at the Park After Dark," an event supporting Summer Night Lights.

Summer Night Lights is a gang reduction/youth development program that extends the summer evening hours at designated City of Los Angeles recreation centers and provides urban arts and recreational programming designed to attract the most at-risk youth. This summer, the program will expand to young people at 16 locations throughout Los Angeles.

 

"Arts at the Park After Dark" will feature a line-up of some of LA's up-and-coming musical talent-- including Chris Pierce, Warpaint, Audible Mainframe, KCRW DJ Jeremy Sole, and emcee Brian White-- and an art auction featuring the work of several LA artists, as well as the work of LA's most talented visual artists which will be on display in the Barnsdall Municipal Gallery.

 

A $25 ticket will get you this great night of arts and entertainment, with some free food and drinks and other inexpensive items for purchase.

A $150 VIP ticket gets you access to a reception inside Frank Lloyd Wright's "Hollyhock House," one of the most important architectural landmarks in the City, and lots of great food and drinks.

 

All proceeds will go to A Better LA, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established by USC Football Coach Pete Carroll, which helped to develop the Summer Night Lights program. Donations are tax deductible.
