Welcome parents, students, and community members to Norwalk High School, a school where students come first!
As the school year begins, I look forward to start my second tenure with Norwalk High School. This year will mark my 18th year with the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District. I have had the privilege of being an administrator at Los Alisos for the past five years. Prior to that I served at Norwalk High School for 12 years as a teacher, baseball coach, and as an assistant principal.
My mission for Norwalk High School is to build a high level of expectation for students and teachers so that students are prepared for college and careers in order to lead productive and successful lives. Through creating engaging work for students and collaborating amongst teachers, this environment where students can learn and teachers can teach will continue to be the norm at Norwalk High School.
Norwalk High School serves as a learning community where students are challenged and are engaged in rigorous academics through a standards-based curriculum. We have a strong team of dedicated individuals who provide a welcoming environment where the top priorities are academic achievement and a safe and nurturing school. Our school program is designed for students to make successful transitions from middle school to high school and one that prepares them for the challenges of college and beyond.
Here at Norwalk High School we plan our curriculum, instruction, assessments, and staff development to meet the needs of all our students. We hold both staff and students accountable for their work, as we provide instruction that meets or exceeds state standards. This is one of the reasons why we have been recognized by U.S. News as a Silver School!
We invite parents to become involved at Norwalk High School by joining parent groups such as, PTSA, SDMC and ELAC. Visit our website regularly to access information about the school, programs and activities. Our school community operates on the belief that all students can achieve!
I am excited for the opportunity to work with you and your child to ensure their experience here at Norwalk High School is a rewarding one. I look forward to great things from your child.
