We know that when it comes to paying for college many students are at a loss. A great first step is to familiarize yourself with local community scholarships. We have listed some great scholarships below, but this is not an exhaustive list. Check out Unigo, FastWeb and California Colleges to learn more about scholarship opportunities you may be eligible for. 


Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation
Due: October 31 
  • Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution
  • Current high school/home-schooled students attending a school in one of the 50 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, or select DoD schools who will graduate high school during the 2020-2021 academic school year
  • U.S. Citizens (not a Temporary Resident), U.S. Nationals, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees, Asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees - based on the guidelines utilized by U.S. Department of Education for Federal Financial Aid eligibility
  • Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution 
Immigrants Rising Scholarships and Fellowships 
Due: Ongoing 
Get a complete list of 344 undergraduate and 302 graduate/post-graduate scholarships and fellowships that do not require proof of citizenship or legal permanent residency (425 are open to individuals who don’t have DACA).

Prudential Spirit of Community Award Scholarship

Award: $1000
Requirements: Students must participate in volunteer activity
Griswold Home Care Scholarship
Due: November 30th
Award: $1000
Requirement: Complete & Submit Online Application
Dell Scholars Program
Due: December 1st
Award: $20,000
Requirement: G.P.A of 2.4 or higher 
Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship
Due: December 15th
Award: $5000
Requirement: US citizen or permanent resident committed to volunteering efforts to end hunger issues
2021 Edison Scholars 
Due: December 14 

Student Applicants must:

Live in Southern California Edison’s service area

        Be a high school senior with at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA

        Plan to pursue studies in eligible STEM fields at a four-year accredited college or university

        Show financial need
