The purpose of the ACT is to measure your readiness for college and provide colleges one common data point that can be used to compare applicants. The ACT exam tests your skills in math, reading, english and science, plus an optional essay.

Which one should I take?
We typically recommend that students take both the SAT and the ACT to ensure that they have the best chance at being competitive for college admissions. Additionally, some students may score better on one test versus the other, depending on their academic strengths.

All 10th and 11th grade Norwalk students took the PSAT. It can leave students with a few questions like:
What does my score mean? How can I improve my score? When can I take the real SAT?
Students scores were explained in their World History/US History classes and also given instructions on how to utilize a free SAT prep opportunity.
Khan Academy is offering free individualized test prep when you link your Collegeboard account and PSAT scores.
