Ms. Doris Doyon is the Director of Bands and Orchestra at Norwalk High School. She teaches courses in Jazz Band, Orchestra, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, and Guitar.
Originally from Tacoma, Washington, Ms. Doyon earned a Bachelor of Music, Percussion Performance, and Bachelor of Music Education, Instrumental Music, from Pacific Lutheran University. While at PLU she studied conducting with Dr. Raydell Bradley and Dr. Richard Sparks. Her Percussion Teachers included David Robbins, Jeff Brandt, and Steve Korn.
Ms. Doyon earned her Masters of Arts in Wind Band Conducting from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, where she also served as Assistant Director of Bands. While at Truman she studied Conducting with Professors Dan Peterson and Thomas Trimborn, and Percussion with Dr. Michael Bump.
In addition to teaching instrumental music, Ms. Doyon continues to perform on Percussion, Drum Set and Piano in various venues.
